"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God"

Peter 4:10 NKJV

Who We Are

At Western Plains Wellness, we believe that effective recovery is about more than reducing symptoms—it's about restoring independence, confidence, and quality of life.

We are a mobile specialty rehabilitation practice dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of lymphatic and edema-related conditions. Our clinical focus includes lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency, post-surgical swelling, cancer-related edema, fibrosis, and other conditions that impact the lymphatic and vascular systems. By delivering expert care directly in the comfort of your home, we remove barriers to treatment while providing a personalized experience tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Our foundation in occupational therapy gives us a unique perspective. Rather than treating swelling alone, we evaluate how it affects every aspect of daily life—from mobility and strength to self-care, work, recreation, and overall function. This whole-person approach allows us to create individualized treatment plans that not only reduce edema but also improve movement, promote healing, and help patients return to the activities that matter most.

Our services may include comprehensive evaluations, Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), compression therapy, scar and fibrosis management, therapeutic exercise, functional rehabilitation, patient education, and long-term self-management strategies. Every plan of care is evidence-based, personalized, and developed in collaboration with each patient's physician and healthcare team.

We proudly serve individuals recovering from cancer treatment, orthopedic and cosmetic procedures, vascular disease, chronic swelling disorders, and other complex medical conditions requiring specialized lymphatic rehabilitation. Our mission is to provide compassionate, expert care that promotes healing, restores function, and supports long-term wellness.

At Western Plains Wellness, we are committed to becoming North Texas' trusted resource for lymphatic therapy, edema management, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Every patient deserves the opportunity to heal with dignity, receive individualized attention, and achieve the highest possible level of independence and quality of life.

Our Philosophy

We don’t just focus on the physical.
We address mind, body, and environment.

Meet the Owner

Before becoming a Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Rashawn served in the military—an experience that further shaped his commitment to helping others.

Throughout his experiences, he noticed a consistent problem: people often struggle to explain even understand what they’re going through—whether it’s pain, limitations, or how their condition truly affects daily life.

He built this practice to change that. Because being understood shouldn’t be the hardest part of getting help.

Outside of work, Rashawn enjoys mountaineering, training and staying active, spending time with his family and dog, and traveling—experiences that continue to shape his perspective on resilience, discipline, and living fully.
